Doug Backus

Doug started Amerileagues in 2013 with Ben Goodyear and is a 25 year IT veteran.  Building Amerileagues from a small 140 team league into an operation that services more than 27,000 youth athletes has been a labor of love allowing Doug to get his sports fix and use and expand his IT skills to help volunteers make better use of their time.

Doug's primary responsibilties are:

• Design and development of all web sites and communication platforms and strategies for Amerileagues
• League and tournament game scheduling engine development and implementation
• Sales and marketing support
